Spotlight on Tim Barber Ltd Architecture & Interior Design
This Friday I’ve chosen to shine the LS spotlight on a man named Tim Barber. Tim is the principal architect of his architecture and interior design firm, as well as president of the SoCal chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, and although I don’t know what that means, it sounds impressive.
Let’s begin with Barber’s take on the children’s quarters, shall we?
Ah, yes, perfectly delightful I see.
Where every good little boy goes when he needs to retreat to a quiet, safe place, a place to practice his arithmetic while admiring his dope ceiling.
Below, equally as delightful but aimed at the slightly younger yet: this sanctuary for a young master features massively satisfying symmetry, a healthy dose of color and pattern without feeling overbearing. Sort of boy-ish but non-committal, if you will. I don’t really know what I meant by that either.
Next, Tim tackles the playroom. Get a load of that junior-sized sofa and coffee table.
Moving along through Tim’s repertoire, a closet for pops– with department store scale tie storage. What a sight!
In the hallway you’ll find a lovely bookshelf vignette c/o sir Barber. It’s vibrant yet soothing simultaneously.
Don’t think Tim B. would leave out the home gym, no siree, not he.
Nor would he skimp on the luxury of a laundry room. It’s too good, Tim!
Next up: Barber does butler pantry. Highlights herein include: built-in wine bottle storage and gold cabinet detailing.
Now this. I like to think of this as the kitchen in your Tuscan villa. Come, gather, enjoy the bounty of our bistro chairs, our farmhouse sink, our globe light fixtures. Have some brushetta, please! Oh, Tim. You’ve outdone yourself, really.
What’s that? It’s Elle Decor calling? Why certainly you can come photograph our little eat-in kitchen!
Afterwards, I imagine you’ll retire to the terrace for a glass of wine, and perhaps a fire?
That’s all for this week, peeps. I’ll leave you to bask in the glory of Barber–

Oh this is a stunning home! Everything feels so crisp and fresh, but it has such an inviting feel to it. I would love a big laundry like that! xx
