Your Winningest Spring Cleaning Strategies // New Day Northwest
Happy Spring (officially)!
My favorite season has arrived in Seattle. The bulbs I planted in the fall have grown lush, healthy leaves, and any day now, I’m sure, some variety of flowers will appear. (What variety I can’t say, seeing as how I can’t remember for the life of me what, exactly, I stuck in the ground. We’ll all be surprised!)
And sure, some parts of the country (I’m looking East) are still bundling up and catching flakes on their tongues, but even so, it won’t be long now for the country to join in a much-needed thawing.
Speaking of joining in: now’s a grand time to think about doing some spring cleaning. For as trite as that title has become, we have to respect the ritual. The rhythm of the seasons is undeniable and as natural as it gets. Spring carries with it an intrinsic call to renew, to re-examine, and to breathe new life into all the darkened, dirtied, cluttered corners of your home.
