Hey, baes and happy Thursday.

Today I gave you the work of Lindsay MacRae, an NYC designer whose career background includes character performing for Walt Disney World–a detail which is really neither here nor there, but, you know, serves to illustrate that every step is on the path or whatever.

Lindsay’s work is balanced and accessible. Not to mention the fact that we have to give the woman points for pulling off what she manages to in what must undoubtedly be tight quarters.

Take this workspace for instance: there’s a whole desk and chair and lamp there, but Lindsay’s opted for pieces that at once present and disappear.

This bedroom pleases as well; it’s easy, like, you could do this (!), but with that subtle edge of mastery. Would you think that use that headboard on your own? Probably not. I mean, you might! Let me not discount you and your visions. But also probably not.

Another lesson care of MacRae: if you go big on the headboard, you can get away with going minimal on the end tables. Also I’m really feeling that blanket.

I never realized how essential a picture of knees on the beach was until I gazed this image. Lesson learned. Only, can one of you send me a picture of yours at one? It’s a little known (incredibly well known) fact that my knees are almost positively the least pretty part about me. But-self love! I love you ugly knees!

This one’s really off the rails, huh?

Okay, my favorite space of the tour. A living room, it’s got all the elements needed to please: elegant vintage charm, four letters that spell out badassery, and an overall clean and contemporary vibe.

(I prefer this Apt print far more than the similar looking one that you couldn’t avoid for a hot minute that said “for like ever” which I like, still don’t get, between you and me.)

Is it just me or do you get the sense this room is like a party waiting to happen? Like the frozen crowd about to yell “surprise!” to some unexpected (definitely expecting) person.
