I recently saw an entryway closet that had hooks around the inside. I can’t decide if it’s brilliant or a recipe for disaster.

I’m pretty lazy about this kind of stuff…but even I think it’s a disaster waiting to happen. It looks awful, and I think it makes it harder to see what you have. It also looks like it doesn’t work well for shirts, most of the images had them on some sort of hanger anyway. And everything would be wrinkly!!

Ha! Love this input. So that’s a no from you then? 😉

Sloppy, messy and definitely not eye pleasing for Living Simply. Quite frankly it makes me dizzy just looking at it. No. no. no! –Jane

Ha! Really enjoying how vehemently opposed some of you are to this idea!

Generally, I agree that the look is rather messy. But as I was looking these over, I thought about my husband. He always has at least half a dozen semi-clean articles of clothing strewn about. I think this would work for someone like him but it isn’t practical–it takes up a lot of space. But if it would help keep the chair in the room from being a catch-all, I’m in favor or a limited use of this. I could see this for small children as well.

Love this comment! Small children is ringing a bell, as is this idea in less whole-closet iteration than mini-hang-up-spot.

I worked at Banana Republic where this put to use mainly in the men’s jean area and I loved it. It was easy to thumb through looking for the right wash or size and very simple to put back together neatly. Although I have always wondered what the long-term damage would be to the belt loops…

Way too sloppy looking for my liking.
