9 Garment Racks For Closet-Less Apartments & Luxury Dressing Rooms
I’ve decided to start the blog-year out by focusing on the most generalized organizational needs. Last week we had pull-out storage options, which are ostensibly beneficial and viable in most spaces. The week before that, we talked about the top 6 essentials every organized home needs (even though presumptuous posts are The Worst.
Today, I’m bringing it back to the good old garment rack.
Throughout the many homes I’ve had the privilege of Simplifying, garment racks–or the painfully obvious lack thereof–have featured throughout.
The reasons are three fold: 1. The existing “closet” layout is all but nonexistent, 2. The existing “closet” is all but a myth, 3. The notion of a coat closet is a cruel joke, 4. One’s closets are sufficient and also occupied, and one happens to host large dinner parties frequently, necessitating a place to hang many coats, and 5. People have way too many clothes and don’t know when to cut themselves off and abide by their spatial means already.
So I guess the reasons were five-fold.
The latter group should not apply here, not pass go, and not collect $200, a.k.a. lots of posts are for you, but this one probably isn’t.

Versatile, mobile, often foldable, garment racks are a major player ,and can help to alleviate some of the worst closet-woes. Discerning crew that you are, the average garment rack may feel underwhelming, generic, or just plain ugly. So here’s a bunch of appealing, or at least more visually interesting, options in the garment rack world, just for you. (STILL NOT YOU, NUMERO FIVE.)
1. Commercial Strength Garment Rack
3. Happimess Sophia Single-Bar Garment Rack
6. Garment rack with wood shelves
8. 6-Hook Rolling Garment Rack
