True to the guiding ethos of her company, Glamour Nest, designer Jess McClendon seems to embody glamor and approachability simultaneously.

Alongside a photo of a pair of hands crowded with diamond rings–two, at least, on each finger–is an honest, vulnerable explanation of where Jess’s love of beautiful homes began. Her parent’s window tinting business granted Jess access to stately, elaborate houses, and the young tot would imagine what it would be like to live in such splendor.

Above a photo of Brigette Bardot mid-primp, Jess trumpets her love of reading, and her involvement with an organization that donates books to at-risk teenagers in the Los Angeles area.

And so it is with her designs: glamour alongside worn-in antiquities. The prestige of glossy whites and flashy golds alongside earthy, almost boho pillows and art prints. It’s clearly Jess’s answer to her childhood wondering about what life inside beautiful homes would look like.
