One Tip Tuesday: Make Moving Things From Floor To Floor In Your Home A Breeze
My new house has about seven hundred stairs in it, which is a fact I’m merely stating, not, it should be noted, complaining.
There are two flights between the first and second floor, two flights between the second and third, and two flights to the upper deck.
You wanna know what I’ve discovered in the month plus of living here? You spend a good amount of your time going up and down the stairs is what.
And not only you; the flow of things between floors is constant. The tape measure needs to go up to the kitchen, while the hard drive needs to go up to my office, and that water bottle has to end up back down on the first floor.
As a measure of efficiency (loaded arms) and order, the salvation lies in a tote of some sort that corrals the items for easier transport and delivery. The basket that once comprised like all of my bathroom storage has been very much alleviated (thank you), and is now available for newer purposes: that of being the stair basket.
Obviously, individuals prone to treat said vessel as a stationary collection spot for clutter need not apply. But. I’m newly convinced that those who can trust themselves to be reasonably disciplined might benefit from a stair basket, too.

Have you ever tried instituting a stair basket or other method to make transporting items within your home easier? Tell me about it!
P.S. Apparently a “stair basket” is an actual thing, as in, it’s shaped to sit on a step. In the event that’s your jam, I tracked down three just for you: here’s one, and another, and one more.
