A Super Simple Gift Wrap Organizer
I recently shared a picture of a gift wrap organization station completed for a client on instagram, and afterwards received a couple of messages requesting more information. Consider this me, happily obliging.
The truth is, I rawther wish I had thought to share the project here first, since a. I was completely impressed with the organizer I used, b. I know plenty of people have (hoard?) gift wrap that they can’t ever manage to keep orderly enough to use, and 3. this was a pretty ideal mini-Simply project, for those looking to tackle something manageable in scope.
So, then, onto the recap:
My client had enough gift wrap to necessitate something more substantial than just a bin or a one of those plastic hanging things (you know the ones I mean?). And, she had a bit of free wall space to boot.
And while we had considered DIY-ing a bunch of dowels for rolls of gift wrap, I felt that ultimately a ready-made organizer would not only feel more elevated for her to interact with, it would also, in the end, mean significantly less futzing.
In the end, I decided this gift wrap hutch was the perfect solution.
Using of the vertical space: check. Dowels for gift wrap and ribbons: check check. And a few cubbies for crafty items? Ding ding!
Since it’s a hutch, it’s able to just sit atop any available surface (it also comes with the option to be bolted to the wall for safety). Meanwhile, it eats up minimal counter space, since its only 8″ deep.
Ta-dah, that’s it!
Go organize your gift wrap and then give someone a gift.
(I know you have a hearty present backstock you seriously need to chip away at, anyhow.)
