Spotlight on Sara Gilbane Interiors

May 24, 2013

Guess what it’s Friday. Now, before you all go freaking out with glee, sit tight just long enough to scan the work of Sara Gilbane Interiors.

Sara’s work is slightly more traditional than I normally veer towards, and yet it’s decidedly not stuffy. It’s traditional, but it’s still fresh. Call her the New Traditionalist.

First up, take a gander at this delightful breakfast corner. Replete with cheery blue accents, it achieves a sort of cottage-esque effect. And then there’s that brass fixture to bring it right back into town.

Gilbane does bedroom in the shots that follow. First, a soft and dare I call it romantic assemblage of furniture and fabrics that benefits greatly in my mind from the spunk of silver lamps bed adjacent.

And next, a similar vibe in a room I believe befits the most well-behaved young girlthing.

The portfolio continues on to this organized vanity-bit. I am henceforth keeping my eyes out for such a piece of clear furniture, which I know one of my clients would go all weak in the knees for.

In the living room, S.G. delivers by way of built-ins (styled), ladder (rolling) and a rather ingenious blend of the light and dark shades.

Finally, a choice window seat. Sublime.

Thank you, as always for reading. While I can’t stop you from picking your nose, I encourage you not to do so directly over your keyboard. Bye!
