Organizing Gift Wrapping Supplies

January 14, 2012

As someone who appreciates a beautifully wrapped package, I understand the desire to keep wrapping supplies on hand. An organized gift wrapping station can be an excellent time and stress saver. Left unorganized, however, this would-be santa’s workshop can end up looking like a tangled web of ribbons, wraps, gift tags, and bows. You’ll probably need all that tissue paper to wipe your eyes after the mess of it all leaves you in tears. But fear not, my fledgling friend, there are ways to avoid the sob-fest.

Begin by evaluating the goods. Anything crumpled, torn, or truly heinous gets trashed. The remainders get sorted, like with like. Then it’s just a matter of finding a system that works for you.

Whether it’s a repurposed paper towel holder, an over-the-door organizer, pull out drawers or hanging rods, the goal is to have your gift wrapping supplies looking neat and easy to use.

That’s a little present to yourself.
