Last week we covered cutting boards that do more than just lie there.
Today I present unto you the one version which perhaps trumps:
The fold down kitchen prep station.
Am I the only one inordinately impressed by the genius of this idea? Tell me I’m not!

It looks great but my first thought is it would be hard to clean – unless it is easily removable.

Being rather short, and having countertops at standard height [an oversight when we remodeled the kitchen], I would like to have a cutting board that’s lower than the countertop. I wear Dansko clogs to get to a comfortable height when I have big cooking or cleanup to do. If I had this contraption, I’d need stilts!
