Oh hey guys, it turns out it’s Thursday on Live Simply, and you know what that means: time to ask ourselves the hard hitting question, “Are we all in danger of brutally stabbing ourselves every time we remove an avocado pit? (Or is that just me?)”
Also, it’s Peridot Decorative Homewear‘s turn in the Spotlight.
Peridot is design shop in Vancouver, meaning that if, I suppose, you frequented their establishment, you would find your eyes met with every home adornment of the loveliest variety imaginable, and also that they offer design services.
We’re off to a real solid start here today, aren’t we? (Don’t answer that.)
I fell in love at first sight upon glimpsing their work in the same issue of Style At Home as was mentioned yesterday (two blog post ideas for the cost of one magazine, eh?)
To the untrained eye, their portfolio might appear pale; feminine, but plain. But those who look closely will see that within their particular neutral-ish palette there are sumptuous textures and statement-making details. And while the spaces certainly read as feminine, they also communicate a careful balance of sweet and rawther cutting edge.
Can I get this table in a necklace version, Peridot?
Above, the stuff linen, tufted headboard-dreams are made of.
Below, the most sophisticatedly serene office space I maybe ever did see.
Peek this light fixture, and fear not: you’ll get a better look in a scoll.
Don’t you think that this is the living in which Daisy would sit and fan herself in modern-day Gatsby?
Oh, and yeah. (#mybestsentenceyet)
Oh, and then there’s this whole house:
Okay, that’ll do Babe, that’ll do.
(Whatever you do, never see Babe 2).
