Spotlight On Karla Dreyer Design
Happiest of Fridays to you, LSBAR’s.
I hope the week has felt like a business class flight to France. You know, some of the work of getting there, but also all the indulgences and complimentary eye masks.
We’ll just keep that vibe going today with some lovely interiors, compliments of Karla Dreyer. She’s based in Vancouver which, I’m convinced (in addition to Toronto and Australia) is the source of all things interior style as of late.
This contemporary condo is so perfectly on trend that you almost want to resent it. But K. Dreyer just pulls it off is what she does.
Check out this living room. Super plush and simultaneously streamlined.
Much the same could be said for this work space.
I realized the moment I saw this next photo that I want a lamp like that. And a side table. Hold the rockingbird.
I have a lot of respect for designers who balance the craft with attainability. Dreyer does just that in the space down below.
You look at that and you think, “I could do that,” don’t you?
Probably we couldn’t do this:
But we’ll forgive ourselves, or at least distract ourselves from our lacking design sense by way of navy.
And to close, a dining space that the girls would eat up, it being filled with the gold stuff as it is. The girls love gold.
From my weird ass heart to yours: happy weekend.

Could you please let me know where you got that navy chair from? I’ve been looking for one like it for ages
