Spotlight On CM Natural Designs
Happy Thursday, Your Brilliances.
What’s happening in your neck of the woods, hmm? Everyone and you got a pumpkin on their front porch? Grand; here too.
Speaking of: let’s treat ourselves to the work of CM Natural Designs, founded by head designer Corine Maggio (what?). Although the main star of the show is a beach cottage–not necessarily seasonally apropos–its cozy factor makes it, I believe, perennially in style. Like, you could easily surf all day and chill out by the paneled walls all night, or you could take a brisk hike in the woods, come home and curl up under a blanket to watch an episode of Shark Tank.
Also: my sister positively went coat shopping at an NYC J. Crew with Barbara The Shark this Tuesday.
Moving along, I love the clean, contrasting, Simple elements at play here. That white paneling make the space feel open and super fresh, and the navy above adds that needed bit of drama.
Truth be told, you could put a dang bistro chair just about anywhere and bloggers think it’s just the cutest thing ever.
(That one is really cute, though, right?)
Moving along to the kitchen, where Corine ingeniously balances white and dark contrast. That dark grout? I don’t know about you, but it’s working for me.
Ditto the slate gray walls.
And man, I’ve got to say it: I’m very spiritually opposed to red decor, but those two little stools? Like cherries they are.
Then it’s back to where we started, sort of, in the dining area. It’s hard for me to tell whether I love this room because there’s a plate of lemons on the table or because it’s really meticulously designed. It’s probably the latter.
Wait! Before you go–just a few others from Corine’s portfolio.
A tranquil hallway vignette.
To complement this equally tranquil kitchen.
And finally, one really rad office.
Apparently belonging to one very cool sports photographer. Man and room deserve each other.
That’s it and a bowl of lemons, kids.
You do your things real well over the weekend now, hear? Act with integrity-est and laugh like a maniac and Live it the Simpliest, just like I know you can. I know you can.
