Spotlight On HSH Interiors
I am here to tell you: there are some frickin’ talented people in this world.
Among them, Holly Hollenbeck, Lauren McCoy, and Dani Burka, who collectively make up the design firm HSH Interiors.
It’s one of their recent projects, a converted church in Mill Valley, California, that has me fawning. Sitting comfortably as it does in that sweet spot between nautical/coastal, industrial, and comfortable, the space is rawther my version of design heaven.
Not to mention, HSH’s combined brains are capable of doing more with one bathroom than you and I could ever conceive to do with a room where the main activity is pooping.
Prepare to be hypnotized by ceiling beams, mesmerized by tiling and cabinetry, and straight up stupefied by blueprint wallpapering. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
HSH, you keep doing your thang. I’ll keep never typing that word incorrectly again.
And you, keep being kind to other people and to yourselves, pumping your own special brand of magic into the world, and not jumping on the Birkenstock bandwagon. Stay strong! Live Simply! Bye!

Hello,
Holly Hollenbeck here, I’m the designer on this project. The sink shown at bottom in the children’s bath is the Kohler Brockway sink, its technically a commercial product, but is darn cute when used in a residence!
