Spotlight on TerraCotta Properties

December 28, 2012

Today I present you with TerraCotta Properties. TCP hails from Georgia. That’s the state, not the country- easy to confuse the two.

It was charm and delight at first sight for me and TCP. The whole vibe is very clean, cheery, refined. There’s also something else in there, a sort of X-factor. It’s this sense of surprise. A sort of an unexpected element happening in nearly every space. That was what drew me in. See if it does you:

Starting off, appropriately enough, in the entryway. Or three. Each one has all the necessary ingredients and just manage to pull off being entirely inviting.

Next up is this little eating nook. And then there’s that washer and dryer. Unexpected, see? But it works, oh does it ever.

Spotlight on Terra Cota Properties // Live Simply by Annie Case in point numero 2: at first you see those cabinet doors and you’re like, “I get it, there’s a cabinet in there. Maybe some shelves.” And then you see the picture on the right and you’re like, “Say what?! There’s a whole pantry back there? Well I’ll be darned.”

Spotlight on Terra Cota Properties // Live Simply by AnnieThis I had to include because it’s Living really Simply: dog food and water bowl in a drawer. Pull it out when Puppy needs to eat, don’t trip over it five times a day when he doesn’t.

Okay. neutral palette dining space. But whoa, I didn’t expect to see you here, teal velvet bench.

We continue into the kitchen, where you will observe a taller than expected table and chairs. It’s wood and it’s tall and that’s exciting and something about the red and pink decorative accents makes me feel like it’s a peppermint candy factory.

But the dog, no less.

This is great. Kitchen blends into breakfast area, flows seamlessly into family room.

But didjya get a good look at that breakfast area? Didjya really take a second to drink in that built-in bench– built into the island? I mean, have you ever? Oh, and how about that marble tabletop, to go with the marble backsplash, naturally.

Okay, okay, last two. Closet/vanity area.

Velvet-lined jewelry drawers.

I rest my case.

Good day.

That kitchen is so beautiful I really like all the marble and the range material. I also like the idea of velvet lined drawers.
