Spotlight On A Client’s Relaxed Modern, Indigo-Filled Home
Today I’ve got an extra special Spotlight space for you–one of my very own client’s, designed by Seattle’s current design posterboy, Brian Paquette.
When my client and I started working together, she was living in another house altogether (this is not uncommon), and when a house came up for rent in the area of town where her entire social sphere (including daughters, part time) resided, she jumped at the chance.
When she got in, the house was a blank slate, albeit a charming, blank slate. The potential was there. And luckily, so was Brian.
I had walked through the house with her prior to his waving his magic wand, and so when I returned, wand having been waved, I was so thoroughly blown away that all I could do was hysterically laugh. Cracked up at the living room. Peels of laughter in the master bedroom. “WHAT?!?” I gaped at her over and over.
It was so good–is so good. Not a detail overlooked. Not an unfortunate, pre-existing light fixture not replaced. It’s nautical, but grown up. It’s cohesive but intricate. It’s an environment, you know what I mean?
And listen, I don’t play favorites, but this client is very special. So as you scroll, rest easy knowing that she is positively worthy of such beautiful surroundings.
Pssst, here’s a peek inside, aka my contribution:
