Make Your Doors Do More With These Storage Ideas

February 24, 2015

I’m working with a client currently to revamp her home’s main storage closet. We’re ripping all existing elements out and starting from scratch; it’s a wildly enjoyable old time.

Since space is at a premium, I’ve mandated that the closet door–previously doing nothing other than hanging there– be put to its full use, and I’m feeling pretty confident that’s going to make the difference. And if it doesn’t I guess I’ll look like a big dummy and that will be fun in its own right.

If you’re hard pressed for storage space, utilizing your doors is practically obligatory. Bi-folds are duds in this department (apologies if you are the possessor of them), but any other standard door–be it room or cupboard closure–can easily and affordably be put to practical use.
