1 Big Reason These Kitchen Islands Are Better For Small Spaces Than The Rest
The merits of wheeled furniture items have long ago, now, been covered. On wheels, furniture items of any shape and size become mobile, allowing you to shift their functionality. Plus, things that are easier to move are easier to clean under and around.
I know; tell you something you don’t know, right?
I was perfectly content with this all being old news, too, but then a discovery on My Domaine re-wetted my appetite.
The ladies of Sakara Life, an organic meal delivery service, needed to ensure that their studio space was easily convertible–from kitchen to hosting station and back again–without the slightest of grunts. So, they put the largest unit in the space on wheels and ta-dah: a mobile kitchen island was born.
I, for one, think this is a rawther brilliant solution, and not just for the Sakara chicks.
As the kitchen remains the hub of the household, it’s the room that’s most likely to need flexibility. If you host dinner guests, the group is inevitably going to gather in the kitchen. And wouldn’t it be great if making room for more bodies was as easy as unlock and wheel?
(No, really, I’m asking: wouldn’t this be great?)
Here, a few more examples to inform your consensus:
