Spotlight On A Fresh, Family Home In Nashville
I happened upon this home tour while trolling One King’s Lane for floor baskets, a happy accident if ever there was one.
The home, owned and renovated by Gen and Ben Sohr of Pencil And Paper, is merely yet more proof of the fact that the pair can design practically anything, whether for Gap, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, or, in this iteration, a 1930s home, never before updated.
Gen and Ben (seriously, with a pair of names like they they couldn’t possibly not turn out charming creative creations) took the house down to its studs, played around with layout, redid plumbing, electrical, and on. The end result provides not only a legitimate workspace (the lower level is evidently P & P HQ), but a true family home; big kitchen for familial congregating, intimate living room, and no formal living room to speak of.
The whole space sparkles with personality–a kind of classic southern-prep vibe is apparent, as is a hint of drama, yet it still manages to feel utterly relaxed and inviting.

I might have said more here but those black nookbeds just shut me positively up.
Nighty night and good morning and spread joy whatever time it is for you.
Xs and Os you sweet peaches.
