I hope the week has treated you well. It’s treated us here in Seattle to Saharan temperatures, which everyone seems to be all giddy about. I’m more of the “Why does your kind not believe in AC??” type. But then again I’m a misplaced Michigander, and well, that explains almost a few things.

Moving on to Barbara Purdy Design, a firm based in Toronto with a knack for cozy.

To begin, a spot where I, for one, would sit and drink all the coffee.

With an adjoining kitchen that’s just on the verge of incredibly outspoken and playing it completely cool. It merely hints at eclecticism, while still managing to be right on trend.

Crank out the oversized sweatshirts and dumb socks, because next, Purdy’s taking us to the cottage.

It would be perfect for a little weekend retreat, no?

Then onto a real showstopper of a bedroom. Drama, sophistication, it’s got it all.

And a rawther more contemporary living area that comes across as fresh to death.

Have I mentioned I’m on a new G-Smooth kick? They sort of make me gag and also make me long for my Luna bars, but I continue to swallow them down regardless. And if I can give up the Bar for the G-Smooth, there’s no telling what you can do.
