Nightstands are notoriously difficult to source. You can have the whole set up happening: mattress, lovely sheets, headboard, rug, dresser, and yet, somehow, the right nightstand evades you!

You see them here and there, but are left are to Goldilocks–this one being far too short, that other one way too tall, and this one being irreconcilably unattractive.

And, if you want a nightstand that has certifiable storage capacity–forget it. You might as well take a long nap and hope that whenever the bears show up they come with more furniture options in tow.

In fact, I rather appreciate the inclination on the part of the manufacturer to not provide the future owner of the nightstand with a bevy of places where they might shove shit beside their bed. Instead, most commonly, they supply just one, usually very shallow, drawer.

Except, for many people, adding in concealed storage is essential to their ability to Live Simply.
