Spotlight On Threshold Goods & Design

April 25, 2014

Happiest Fridays to you, kindly.

Today I present unto you the work of Threshold Goods & Design. At the helm are Nicole Maier and Crys Olig, who maintain offices in both San Francisco and Boston.

Catering to both coasts might present somewhat of a challenge to many design firms, but Threshold evidently struggles naught, serving up as they do spaces that are equal parts clean and organic (I’ll leave you to discern which adjective belongs to which coast).

Since this entryway is the charmingest I see no reason why we shan’t begin with it.

A lazy eye might glaze over a room like that, but not the expert; cubbies, both upper and lower, with lower providing a benched seating place, generous hooks, and do please take note of that floor?

Moving along to kitchen by T-hold.

Which is practically perfect in every way.

Oh my god, I just about had an aneurism. (I keep meaning to look up what that actually is, and I swear I will one of these days. Don’t tell me, it’ll ruin the surprise.)

But for heaven’s sake–that marble island, the overall white-bright-is-right palette, with those gorgeous floors, and the stools! Reclaimed wood tops juxtaposed steel legs and I will have a seat, thank you ladies.

Just off the kitchen is a wonderfully inviting living room.

And beyond that–well,

Yeah.

And off to dreamland in this stupidly cozy looking bedroom.

Cue the white silk pajamas a la Cameron Diaz in The Holiday, but hold the cheating break up/ bitch slap if you will.

And that’s where I depart you until yonder Monday.

Be kind to each other and to yourselves, and remember that everyday is a good day to Live Simply. And also to shower. And also to eat peanut butter.

I am in love with every single room, and everything about each room, and yes, I believe that is the room Miss Diaz slept in whilst staying in Surrey:)
