Spotlight on EM Design Interiors

October 12, 2012

It’s Friday bubblegums! And to help you recover from last night’s debate the week, I give you Emily Mughannam of EM Design Interiors.

To begin with: a modern take on the nursery. While I’m not one to favor the modern aesthetic, I must admit that the Ms. M convinced me by way of giant knitted pouf and some rather spectacular styling.

Which continues on into the next– the lamp, the lacquered tray for holding only the most refined children’s toys, the Ampersand poster; have you ever?

Below, Emily offers a smoother than smooth segway via the tray from babe-land to bathroom.

What? Don’t you keep fresh flowers in your built-in shower cubbyhole?

Oh, good lord. Lady Emily. I do believe you have captured all the glory of girlhood in the space below.

It’s magical I tell you. If I were to ever find myself in a reverse-BIG situation, I would hope to reincarnate into this very room.

Following, a no less lovely but slightly more suitable to the boy species bedroom vignette. You had me at the striped walls, EM.

And more utterly delightful vignettes to close us out– I spy a wall organizer,

A ridiculously charming little drink bar/ hostess nugget,

a boldly-backed bookshelf and a pair of really frickin cool bookends that are also vases. What?!

not to mention some hair accoutrement organizing.

I’ve never really been clear on whether the game of I-SPY has a winner, but today I finally get it: EM wins every time.

Enjoy the weekend and remember: Living Simply is way better than just plain old Living.
