Pro Organizer’s Favorite Food Canisters

March 8, 2017

It’s important that we get one thing straight before we commence the blogging, which is that my idea to post about kitchen canisters came first. You got that?

I had no idea whatsoever that The Container Store just happened to be having a kitchen sale, meaning that all the canisters I would necessarily be recommending would be more affordable right now than they usually are. I mean it; no clue. Despite how much of my time I spend there, I actually don’t pay attention to things like this because I gots to buy the stuff regardless.

And in fact, I’m so averse to retail sale trickery, and even more so to having this blog come across as typically salesy that the fact that the canisters are on sale nearly deterred me from typing this thing altogether! Then I quickly decided that was dumb, and here, it appeared, we were: best case scenario.

To summarize: I feel strongly that most every kitchen needs a handful of excellent quality canisters; I’ve decided to present you with a few of my go-to’s; they all happen to be on sale at this very moment.

Best food canisters for pantry organization (that just happen to be on sale!).

1. Stacking square glass canisters

Surprisingly affordable (even when not on sale), these square canisters sit beautifully next to and on top of each other, and their glass lids ensure visibility at any angle.

2. OXO pop canisters

The tried and true crowd favorite. Airtight, durable, stackable. If only I had a tally of how many of these I’ve used over the years.

3. OXO dispenser canisters

All the goodness of the Pop canisters, but with a dispenser, meaning even the youngest babes in your household are able to keep the cereal fresh.

4. Click clack round pantry canisters & Click clack cube canisters

These have been around for a long time, and there’s a reason why: they hold up incredibly well and are available in large capacity–perfect for bags of flour.

5. Hermetic glass jars with chalk labels

Another tried and true favorite, these have perfectly wide mouths, they’re airtight, and they have an in-built labeling method (+ chalk pen).
