Milk & Honey Home

November 9, 2012

It’s less about Israel and more about the guidebook for what Living Simply looks like in real time, you see. Yes, in Milk & Honey Home’s work I have found my decor doppelganger– if I was a designer, and had any designs of my own, and so I guess by doppleganger we just mean I really like their designs, which they conceived of their own genius and which I will now fawn over publicly.

Let’s just get the M & K flowing with some white kitchen, no sense beating around the bush.

Oh, what’s that? It’s the most delightful combination of tiling, wicker baskets, and decorative dish ware you’ve seen this side of the millenium? That’s right! It is, isn’t it?

And below, the cow and bee derived products (how strange, really) continues their influence in the form of built-in wine storage and a brief but no less dandy rainbow-sorted book stack. Embrace it, skittles.

Naturally, right off the glory that is that kitchen above is a convenient breakfast bar and stools. It’s like the folks at Milk & Honey want to slowly torture me by way of lots of stuff I really like all crammed into one space.

We’ll leave the eating place now, and move right along to the entryway, where one might admire such things as symmetrical white lamps, killer mirror, a place for rain boots. Glory be!

And because I’ve begun to take a special liking in seeing how these designers reincarnate their work into the child-sector, I offer you this ridiculously charming room. Yeah, drink that in and try not to wish yourself six again.

And finally, the most excellent intersection of chic and serene perhaps ever.

Please do take note, as if you couldn’t not, of the zebra pattern, the glitter pillow, the styling, the chalkboard, the neutral color palette– oh good gravy, the desire to dine daily over a bowl of oatmeal in the mornings in this space overtakes me!

And with that, I bid you adieu.

Do take some time this weekend to consider how truly blessed you are to have shelter, electricity, etc, to think of those still struggling in the aftermath of Sandy and otherwise, to consider how you might, in some small way, share those blessings with people such as them. And just Live Simply, whatever you do.

So thank you, your blog is always motivational and easy to follow. Thank you Annie for making my life more beautiful, simple, and organized.
