The Ideal Kitchen: Under Sink Drawers

October 31, 2013
If we could build the perfect room from scratch, what would it look like? What features would it contain? Let’s have ourselves a little daydream…

I’m newly convinced that The Ideal Kitchen would feature under the sink drawers rather than a dark, cavernous, cupboard space. Why must it be like that, anyway? Isn’t that the dumbest design idea that seems never to have been reevaluated?

Organizational retailers may offer “glide out” cabinet shelves, but I’m remiss to say, it just isn’t the same. No, The Ideal Kitchen has actual drawers, which obviously come with built-in divided sections for easy organizing of cleaning products, garbage bags, sponges, et al.

Who’s with me on this one?

Great idea but i don’t understand how this works.. How can there be those pull out drawers with a big sink and pipes etc in the way?

I believe the drawers are in a kind of squared U shape, so that there’s a cut-out in the middle for garbage disposal, pipes, etc.

Agree!! It will get rid of that sink clutter and eliminate the need for a flashlight to look for items in the back of the cabinent.
