Favorite This: April 2018

May 2, 2018

I’m always sad to see April go, because in my totally unbiased opinion, the month in which I was born is the best one of them all. But, the calendar page has flipped, and May promises to be ripe with flowers and sunshine and general splendor. As we do, I’m welcoming in the new month by recapping the one just passed by way of a small assemblage of favorite things, game-changers, and life-improvers.

Game-changing products, according to a professional organizer.

1. BISSELL Little Green ProHeat Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

My all-white headboard had a spot on it that had been driving me insane, so when I read another blogger’s rave review of this baby, I readily clicked “add to cart.” (Sidenote: I’ve also always been dumbly stymied by how things such as headboards and sofas and such never get cleaned, though I very much would like them to. Turns out: there’s a way to clean upholstery, Annie.)

The Bissell worked so well on the headboard, I went straight for the sofa. Not because there were any spots, but because I’ve owned it for roughly four years now and that’s a lot of butts and hands making contact with that surface, you know?

Honestly, I can’t wait until I pinpoint my next target. What’ll it be? A rug? A throw pillow? The possibilities for cleaning are endless!

In summary: I honestly don’t know how those of you possessed of the small humans and the fur creatures can be without such a cleaning instrument.

2. Clear Drawers: Sweater (largest) // shirt & accessory (same width as sweater; half the height) // men’s & athletic shoe (medium) // shoe (smallest)

I know for a fact I’ve included these in a past favorites post, but I’m shouting them out again because, well, they just warrant the double-mention.

These drawers rocked it out in so many closets and client projects throughout the month of April. Their applicability is universal.

These are a godsend for when you need drawers but don’t have any built-in. They stack, they’re sturdy, they’re substantial, and they come in varying sizes. They’re all I could hope for in a clear drawer.

3. Braided extension cord

These braided extension cords, available in a whole host of delightful hues, are a sight for sore eyes. And since they’re made by my favorite and most trusted electricals-company (yeah; I actually have one of those), 360 Electrical, you can also bet they’re superior quality and functional AF.

4. R & Co. Shampoo & Conditioner

I had never heard of R & Co. and their magical ways with hair until a couple of weeks before my birthday, when I caught an intoxicating whiff of a client’s freshly washed locks. Whatever that scent was, I needed it in my life.

Three weeks later, and my own bottles, gifted by my fam (thanks fam!), are waning. The products they contain make washing my hair every day an honest-to-goodness treat. It’s like a little indulgence in my everyday, from the consistency, to the way they wash out, to the way they make my hair feel, and the gorgeous scent they leave behind.

R & Co. Maybe get involved. That’s all I’m saying.

Have you ever tried any of these guys?? What were your thoughts? And what things did you favorite last month you think I should know about?

I have a go to carpet shampooer that I use to clean the floors. It’s a must have with stairs in a home due to stair feet traffic. And yes, having a kitty with two different types of hair is a day and night battle; especially since it’s Spring heading towards Summer. (Shedding hair constantly). Thank you for your tips. I will have to check into them
