The Ideal Closet: Boot Drawer

Thursday, May 15, 2014

If we could build the perfect room from scratch, what would it look like? What features would it contain? Let’s have ourselves a little daydream…

It seems as though the ideal closet just distinguished itself as thus: if it features pull out drawers, designed specifically for housing one’s boots, you can bet it is that.

One day I will have these boot drawers in my closet. The ideal.

I know, it’s what your boots have needed desperately all along, without your even having realized they did. Probably because you didn’t know such a closetary innovation existed. And now that you do, courtesy of moi, you can spend your days endlessly pining away for the ideal that is the boot drawer.

Your welcome.

OMG – May I move in now? I own one pair of boots and they reside on a small wooden shoe rack in my coat closet beside a basket with our extra umbrellas. I only wear them when we have a heavy snow. I put a couple of empty paper towel cardboard tubes that I covered with pretty wrapping paper and placed inside the boots to maintain their shape. Since we don’t wear our outside shoes in our house, our shoes are cleaned before they are stored in our closets.
My husband and I have a small walk in closet compared to your picture above. A gal can dream can’t she?
Luv that closet Annie, in the ideal room!
