20+ Best Lunch Boxes For All Ages & Styles

August 16, 2016

When I was growing up, the silver lining of going back to school was the fact that new supplies would be required and procured. My passion in life–until the age of eleven or so–was office supplies. The annual trip to Office Depot was a scintillating expedition. The choosing of binders and folders and corresponding pens and pencils, a pleasure almost too great to bare.

Back to school meant new penguin-adorned underwear and tragic tracksuitty bottoms from Limited Too. It meant, if you were lucky, a new backpack, so full of opportunity, new shoes, and, cross your fingers and stick a needle in that crusty old icepack while it was defrosted, a fresh lunch box.

Chalk it up to my lingering longing for the seasonal-shift, my romanticized version of the back to school cycle, I can’t help but to get excited (still!) about new-school-goods. Which is why, it appears, I spent all that spare time I don’t have on my hands sourcing lunch boxes like some midday-meal-vessel fiend.

I literally have no other explanation. That’s it. I found you a whole boat-load of lunch boxes ’cause I couldn’t seem to restrain myself from not doing so.

Have at ’em.

The best lunch bags for every age and style!

Streamlined & Sporty:

1. Swoosh Insulated Lunch Bag // 2. Midnight Blue Lunch Bag // 3. Freddie and Sebbie Lunch Bag

4. Meal prep in a bag  [This set includes six leak-proof containers, two 1 cup containers, four 2 cup containers, a shaker cup, a vitamin holder, an ice pack, an insulated lunch bag, and a partridge and a pear tree.]

5. The lunch Bag  [Don’t underestimate the streamlined look of this lunch bag; it has an insulated thermal lining for intended-food-temperature-retention, and its made of a nylon fabric that is–ta-dah!–machine washable.]

6. Leak-proof Bento Box [Microwavable, dishwasher safe, freezer-friendly, airtight, leak-proof, 1o0% chemical-free, stain-resistant, and with a money-back guarantee, this reusable, 3-section food container is everything you could possibly want, minus the chef to cook the food to put inside it. One reviewer says of it: “You can literally put water in one of the compartments and the other two will remain dry…I threw this thing across the room and they didn’t pop open.”]

7. Insulated Zippered Tote

7. Ocean lunch bag // Foxes lunch bag

8. Leopard Insulated Water Resistant Lunch Bag //  9. Mod Chevron Neoprene Bag

I was late in reading Monday’s meditation about doing things with passion and enthusiasm — that the results will show your intent. (Excellent essay, BTW.) Then I turned to your lunch box extravaganza and thought: Well, there’s a task that Annie tackled with passion and enthusiasm. It shows! And even though I don’t need a lunch box, I was captivated by the many designs. Your “Best of” lunch boxes is a work of art. Thanks for a fun start to my day.
